Privacy Policy
This explains what happens to your information when you buy something from truthbehindbars.com. The short version: we collect very little, we never see your card details, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
When you buy a product, we receive:
- Your email address, so we can send your download link
- A transaction ID, so we can confirm your purchase and re-send the file if you ask
That is all we hold. We do not ask for your name, address, or phone number.
We never see your payment details. Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record and runs the checkout. Your card number is entered into Paddle's system and is never transmitted to or stored by us. Paddle also collects billing country and any tax information needed, which it holds under its own privacy policy.
Why we hold it
Your email address is used for one purpose: delivering the product you bought, and re-sending it if you need it again. We do not add you to a mailing list without you asking.
If we launch a newsletter later, joining it will be a separate, explicit opt-in.
Who processes your data
| Service | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Paddle | Payment processing, tax, receipts, refunds. Merchant of record. |
| Resend | Sending your download email. |
| Cloudflare | Hosting the website and storing the product files. |
Each of these is a established provider with its own privacy policy and security obligations. We share with them only what is needed to complete your order.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. Paddle's checkout may set cookies necessary for the payment to function, and Cloudflare may set cookies required for security and site delivery.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are retained while needed to support your purchase and to meet accounting and tax obligations. Paddle retains transaction records under its own retention schedule.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information
Email hello@truthbehindbars.com and we will action it within 30 days. If you are in the UK, EU, or a US state with privacy legislation, these rights are yours by law and we honour them regardless of where you are.
Requests about payment or billing data are best made to Paddle directly, since they hold it.
Children
These products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Product files are stored privately and are only reachable through a signed link tied to a verified purchase. Payment security is handled by Paddle, which is PCI compliant.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version appears here with a new date at the top.
